General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have activated right wing Ales Hemsky from the NHL Injured Reserve List and placed left wing Robert Nilsson on the IRL.
Hemsky returns to the Oilers lineup after missing the last 10 games (December 30-January 16) with a concussion suffered in Edmonton’s December 28th game versus the Nashville Predators at Rexall Place.
Nilsson is placed on the NHL IRL retroactive to January 9th due to a concussion suffered versus the San Jose Sharks. Nilsson has missed four games (January 11th-16th) due to the injury.
