The Atlanta/Florida and Islanders/Leafs game will not be on Center Ice due to a MLB game. Also, the Sharks/Avs game which starts at 9:00pm EDT, will be joined in progress after the Canes/Capitals game which starts at 7:00pm.

Wow. Thanks Center Ice. I’m paying for hockey, and you’re giving me baseball. Perhaps you could preempt some stanley cup playoff games for two and a half hours of paint drying as well.

Thank goodness I’m in the tri state area and already pay for Fox Sports on top of paying for Center Ice. Otherwise I’d be SOL.

Just sent them a note asking them to keep baseball off of Center Ice if it is going to preempt the content I am paying for:

As a hockey fan (and MLB Extra Innings subscriber), its not just hockey that is getting pre-empted. Several ballgames have been bumped or not carried altogether.
The problem isn’t one or the other - at that end of the channel spectrum, its not a zero-sum proposition.
The simple solution is to give the MLB and NHL packages their own channel set.
On my Comcast set up they share Channels 771-780… cede that the the NHL and make MLB 781-790 and your problem is solved.
On the other hand - I am getting free hockey right now because of this, so I’ll stop complaining.
