from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun,
• If the rumours are true and the Winnipegs are shopping Zach Bogosian, it reminds me of the Hartford Whalers giving up on Chris Pronger before he became special.
• Not coming to a bookstore near you: Broken Promises by Eugene Melnyk, with foreword by Dave Cameron.
• The quiet star of the Stanley Cup final was not Tim Thomas or Brad Marchand. It was, in fact, Claude Julien, the coach of the Bruins, who put his team in position to win after it trailed 2-0 in the Cup series and was without winger Nathan Horton.
Julien made an interesting adjustment: He decided his fourth-line centre, Gregory Campbell, could be used in all situations after barely playing him in Games 1 and 2. In the final five games, Campbell played an average of 15 minutes of game, doing all the little things that need to be done, finishing the Cup series as a plus-2, even if he had just one goal in 25 playoff games.
