Hockey Wife is an Inventor

imageFrom Stacy Dallman’s press release:

Stacy Dallman created an ingenious solution for “disappearing pacifiers”, when she and her husband, NHL Defensemen Kevin Dallman of the Los Angeles Kings, found themselves at wits end over constantly searching for their toddler daughters missing pacifiers. The Paci-Plushies™ story started after the birth of the couple’s second child. Dallman recalls being frustrated with the, “frequent tantrums that would wake the newborn” thrown by her daughter when a pacifier could not be located. [...]

With the support and encouragement of her husband and fellow LA Kings Hockey Wives, Dallman spent the entire 2007-2008 hockey season researching and developing the Paci-Plushies™.

Kevin Dallman is currently still on the free agents list

Any nominees for the NHL player best suited as the spokesman for a baby pacifier invention? (No GMs allowed;  too obvious!)

As a Canadiens fan, this is easy.

Mike Ribeiro.  I will never forgive him for this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PNw8ZZT8tOU

Wow… I’m surprised that I’m the first one to come up with Sean Avery!

And where can I buy one of these things?

Karina - this is their URL: PaciPlushies.com

However, it’s not currently set up and functional. Perhaps the press release went out just a wee bit too eary… smile

Darnit!  Well, thanks for the link Alanah, I’ll try to keep an eye on it.  Friends are having a baby and this seems like a good gift to go along with the pink canucks sleeper my husband and I are getting for them.

On the other end of the Sean Avery suggestion, I was reminded of the playoffs and Brodeur seems like he’d be a good spokesman too…

Burke…at least it will shut him up during demonstrations!

I nominate Sean Avery to become spokesperson for the baby pacifier doll; he’s already into fashion, and it’d keep us from hearing his stupid comments.

Since you didn’t say no coaches, how about Michel “Waah! The Red Wings are obstructing us!Waah!” Therrien ?

Mike Ribeiro, for the way he blamed the Canadiens for never allowing him to fulfill his full potential the way his new team does (when it was more his lack of seriousness to conditioning that held him back in Montreal).

Since there are so many worthy contenders, how about something similar to the “League of Clutch” concept?

PaciPlushies could use a “murderer’s row” of NHL uber-babies to help promote the product. It could even be available in team colors! Another option might be team mascots (e.g., the Pronger model could be a little ducky in Anaheim’s colors).

My nomination is definitely Michel Therrien.

Kevin Dallman just might be the ONLY NHLer whose wife makes more money than he does if the Missus’ business takes off.

yeah, since folks are nominating Therrien, I’m going to also throw Sidney Crosby’s name into the ring; as a Rangers’ fan, was a little annoying to watch the Pens work the refs after every single whistle, and while I’m at it, Grand Prize goes to Steve Moore for not knowing when to say when.

Very funny comments smile

I’m glad you at least like my Paci-Plushies! They are now available on the Paci-Plushies website: http://www.PaciPlushies.com.

Thanks for everyone’s nominations.  After some careful consideration, I’ve decided that hockey players don’t fit the bill—I would suggest a team owner.  But I can decide which one, given all the fine choices.  smile

Note: there’s still a small problem for some people accessing Stacy’s website.  To get around it, use this address instead.
