Holmstrom Takes A Puck To The Face

Late in the first period, Tomas Holmstrom took a puck to the face while along the boards in the defensive zone.  He did not return for the 2nd period but no word from the Wings yet.

Also, Brian Rafalski was a late scratch, after taking a bump to the back according to Babcock.

update 10:10pm, Holmstrom returns to the bench.

I saw this happen and about had a heart attack.  Especially when I didn’t see him at the beginning of the second.  I was so relieved when I finally saw him again on the ice.
