Interesting, again, that Canada picks on the Coyotes here but folding the team seems to be the only way to get them out of their disgusting lease with Jobing.com Arena. Unless there’s a billionaire out there willing to buy the team and buy them out of that lease, I don’t know if folks in the desert will have the patience to wait for this team to bloom - because they will bloom.

One of the most interesting points in this discussion was the real possibility that some teams will fold and those players will be subject to a dispersal draft.
My sense is that we will see a very different NHL in the next few years.
The NHLPA’s Paul Kelly has already hinted that some major changes are coming, with veterans becoming ‘cap casualties’, finding themselves priced out of the picture as younger, cheaper talent takes precedence.
There is so much exciting young talent in the NHL, and fewer and fewer reasons to spend big for anything less than exceptional achievers.
