My blog today at NHL.com,
Over the last 10 months, I have been in hockey mode 24/7 and looked forward to a little break from the action. But the more I look for that break, the harder it is to find.
Friends just tell me to stay away from anything hockey—don’t visit the Web, don’t watch the NHL Network, don’t listen to NHL Home Ice. Go on vacation, go to the beach or go fly a kite.
If only they knew it is much easier said than done!
continued and I asked for people to email me with their stories. Surprised over 50 emails received so far. I may have to do another article on this topic.

The Chicago Blackhawks are providing plenty of entertainment recently. As far as the actual hockey action, I’m emaciated.

Not too bad now, though I am checking hockey sites more than I want to. I really do need time away, because by late-September I’m in full-blown hockey mode. I find myself paying $7 to watch QMJHL action online.
I need to step away. But by mid-August I’m shaking like a fish out of water.
