via Martin Merk at IIHF.com,
Slovak forward Lubos Bartecko suffered a severe concussion and a laceration in the back of the head in Tuesday’s qualification playoff game against Norway.
Norway’s Ole-Kristian Tollefsen checked Bartecko to the head with his elbow at 6:01. The Slovak, who seemed to lose consciousness for a few seconds, was taken off the ice on a stretcher.According to the first medical information available, Bartecko is conscious and doing fine, considering the circumstances. The doctors made a joint decision to take the player to the Olympic Village polyclinic for an MRI, and the MRI results were good, showing no negative effects.
Czech forward Jaromir Jagr left the qualification playoff game against Latvia after his first shift of the second period with an upper body injury. Jagr did not appear on the ice for the remainder of the game, which the Czechs won in overtime. But he will be able to play in the quarterfinal game against Finland on Wednesday.

I’m betting the concussion was more due to the fact his helmet came off and he slammed the back of his head on the ice.
