It Happened Again

Brenden Morrow was skating along the boards, interfered with by the Avs Jeff Finger and taken into the glass partition between the benches.  Finger gets 2 for interference, Morrow gets stunned and was down on his knees for a few minutes while being treated by the Stars trainer.

Morrow is back on the ice, after missing a few shifts.

I think that it may take someone getting paralyzed for the NHL to look into changing this and making the area around the benches safer.  If having it happen three times in the last week.  Alex Frolov and Smyth in that Avs-Kings game last Saturday and Morrow in todays game is getting insane.  Luckily Frolov didn’t hit too hard and Morrow was just shaken up, but sooner or later someone will get very hurt and the NHL wont have a choice.

What if the glass could slide towards the end of the rink, under tension from a spring or something?

That along with the padding might work….. perhaps the downstream pane of glass has a sandwich of two panes and this sliding one slides in between….

Someone invent it credit me and we are rich. Sweet.
