from the Detroit News:
Pavel Datsyuk has been playing with a new Reebok stick that has an aerodynamic look, with three holes toward the bottom of the stick.
“I have more power,” he said of the stick. “Every blocked shot before, I broke my stick. Now, I can keep playing. I like the way it feels and looks.”
Wings trainer Paul Boyer told MLive how it works:
The holes might seem to make it less sturdy, but Datsyuk said it’s much stronger than his old stick and he believes it’s increased the velocity on his shot.
“It’s built like a suspension bridge, the strength comes from the holes,’’ Wings equipment manager Paul Boyer said.
The stick will reportedly hit retail shelves on March 1.
The MSRP will be about $330-350, so the 9KO will shoot a hole in your wallet, too
