There are a lot of famous people roaming the streets of Burbank, Calif., but when it comes to adult hockey, no one is better known than Paul LaGloire. The 82-year-old organizes one of the longest running adult pick-up hockey games around. To the guys he plays with, Paul LaGloire is a local hockey hero.
“There are few things in this world that are perfect,” said Mark DeCarlo, one of LaGloire’s regulars, “TiVo is perfect and Burbank morning pick-up with Paul LaGloire is perfect.”
Since 1981, LaGloire, a transplant from Bromont, Quebec, has been putting together pick-up games three times a week. Even at age 82, LaGloire is out there every session.
