from Lindsay Rutledge of the Nashville Examiner,
Someone told me the other day that hockey season had started. Which meant little to me because this is Nashville, not Canada, and we’re in the middle of football season in the South. Besides, hockey season is so long that we’re a week or so into the season and nothing noteworthy has happened.
Hockey players are a funny group. There’s tall ones and short ones, fast ones and slow ones. But when you put skates, a sweater and pads on any of them, they are suddenly three inches taller and six inches wider.
