Jared Boll Fined For Hit To The Head

NEW YORK—Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll has been fined $2,500, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for an illegal check to the head of San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton in NHL Game No. 748 in San Jose on Tuesday, Jan. 31, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 0:20 of the first period. Boll received a minor penalty under Rule 48 (Illegal Check to the Head).

Really? Headshots shouldn’t happen to anyone. I don’t even wish that evil upon Matt Cooke or Sean Avery.
Joke about it all you want, but until you carry a teammate off the rink like I had to this weekend, you just won’t get it. Classless.
