from the Calgary Sun,

NOW magazine and North By Northeast Music Festival founder Michael Hollett, a regular player at the hockey game which sees rockers take on NHL old-timers in a friendly match up, broke his leg in three places during the game.

“He fell overbackwards during the middle of the game and he hit Mike Pelyk, the former Toronto Maple Leaf, and he fractured his leg in three places and it’s a pretty bad situation”’ said Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, also a regular Juno Cup player, backstage at the non-telecast Juno gala on Saturday night.

“He‚s in pretty rough shape. They’ll operate on him, they’ll put a rod in his leg, they’ll put some screws in. I think it‚ll be quite a long recovery.”
