Keenan Interested In Devils Coaching Job

Iron Mike has thrown his black hat in the Devils’ ring.
Mike Keenan, the only coach in 70 years to lead the Rangers to a Stanley Cup, told The Post he is interested in trying to end the Devils’ seven-year drought.
“I’m interested in coaching, not just any possible job, but with somebody like Lou [Lamoriello], who has a lot of experience and continues to formulate strong teams, probably the best in the game, well . . .” Keenan said yesterday.
It is believed that Keenan was interested in the Devils job last summer, but Lamoriello waited out top choice Jacques Lemaire.

Lou said he wanted a good X’s and O’s coach, and from what I’ve read, that’s not Keenan.

Keenan is an idiot and Lou is far too smart. They’ll be fine going forward without Keenan, as every other team would be too.

i wouldnt trust keenan with a echl team, let alone a nhl team

keenans a joke, hard to believe anyone wants to hire him as a coach anymore. Keenan has about a good a chance to be hired as milbury does of earning another GM job. Any GM who hires keenan should be fired immediately, his time has come and gone, quite a long time ago.
