Keeping the Weight On

From John Glennon at The Tennessean,
While most of us would worry about squeezing into our pants the next day, Predators goalie Dan Ellis has just the opposite problem. He’ll still have to worry about slipping out of his pads.
Ellis has the perfect metabolism for a supermodel. He can eat almost anything without gaining weight. Unfortunately for Ellis, his job description involves putting on about 40 pounds worth of equipment and skates, then sweating through 60 minutes of competition on a regular basis.
It’s no wonder that keeping up his weight — and his hydration level — proves such a challenge. The 6-foot, 185-pounder figured he loses about 10 pounds per game.
