from the Detroit Free Press,
As an Eastern time zone team placed in the NHL’s Western Conference, the Wings fly a great deal. The past three days, for example, saw them head to Dallas and to Denver, and on Thursday, they’re scheduled to fly to Calgary, where they begin a three-game trip that also stops in Vancouver and Edmonton. That many airborne hours can’t be killed off solely by snoozing, so players find alternatives.
“Me and Malts talk,” Chris Osgood said of Kirk Maltby, his neighbor on the team’s Red Bird II airplane. “We’re intellectuals, so we have conversations. We talk about love.”

“We talk about love?” What the h*ll is that? It must be an inside joke. That sounds like Manny.

That’s funny. Sounds like something Avery would say!
Seriously though....The West coast teams, particularly Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver have the craziest schedules.

Osgood is the perfect straight man. I can just hear his deadpan delivery.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

That conjures up mental images that are truly disturbing.
