The link is now working. Sometimes with TSN updating on their site, the links ‘break’ for a few seconds. That might be what happened when you clicked it.

surprisingly, Modry has been much better than King’s fans will attest to. He’s led the team most of the year in “plus/minus” and has consistently played well ...not great, but well. A third round pick for Modry is not a bad trade. Although it makes you wonder about the trade that brought Modry to the Kings from Dallas - Norstrom for Modry and 1st rounder. Dallas’ good season is making that pick look less and less attractive, but I’m sure that this is not the last “pick” the Kings will acquire in the next week or so.
Give this team 2-3 years and with the cadre of under-25 forwards (Frolov, Kopitar, Brown, Cammilleri, Sullivan, Boyle, Purcell, Tukonen, etc), solid young defencemen (Johnson, Hickey, Harrold, etc) and goalies (Bernier, Zatkoff, Taylor), they will be a competitive team for many, many years. That is of course unless AEG and Lieweke finds a way to screw it up ...which they usually do.

Incidentally—in case anyone is interested—Modry recently wrote about what it’s like to be traded from past experience. Linked here on KK January 31, 2008.

What happened? The link is not working for me, and I don’t see anything on tsn’s website about this trade. Are you secretly using time travel to get the best scoops Paul?
