The New York Islanders have traded forward Mark Parrish and Brent Sopel to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Denis Grebeshkov and Jeff Tambellini.

millsz, If you are asking about the Wings, that won’t happen. They would have to dismantle their team with a trade involving either Datsyuk or Z and in a few instances, both of them. They just don’t have the cap room.
Around the league, I think we may see at least one surprise tomorrow but fewer trades than normal.
So far, all the players moved were expected to get traded.

I think the Wings could fit some small depth pieces if they felt like it, but when stacked up with the needs of other teams (even Ottawa), the Wings are in good shape.

hmm….looks like things may be heating up a little. Jose to Avs- didn’t see that one coming. Maybe we won’t have fewer trades than normal this year??? Do you think Abbey will actually stay in Montreal? I would love to see the Wings get some more grit…what is the asking price for Dallas Drake?
