We are very close to displaying the new KK layout. We are in final testing mode and should have it up very soon.
KK will be down for a period of time, probably no more than 4 hours while we make the switch from old to new.
A post will go up giving you a more specific time frame for the introduction of the new site.
The concept of KK will not change, we will continue to present the same format but with significant, additional enhancements.
It is a very exciting time for us and we do hope you will agree when you see the new KK layout.
If you have any questions about KK, feel free to ask away in the comments and enjoy your weekend!

Will there be a pay chat feature, insider information, a rumor chart that goes months between updates and a chance to win a HDTV or a KK hat? I got 20 bucks burning a hole in my pocket!!!

IWMA, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of!
Don’t tell me people actual pay for stuff like that?

Can’t wait to see the new digs! Hope everything goes smoothly when you do the upgrade!

Is it gonna happen this weekend? tonight? early next week? I gotta know!!!

We are looking at the upgrade to take place sometime next week.
I’d love to do it now, but I want to make sure everything is in order before we go live.
Moving databases is involved, and you can imagine that is a big thing on KK.
There have been over 16,000 posts made in a little over two years, so it is a huge task to take on.

Good luck, Paul — I haven’t had the gumption to upgrade yet.
Looking forward to seeing the new site, and you’ll have to let me know who did the work for you.

Best of luck Paul! Upgrades are always fun, just make sure you’ve set aside enough energy drinks for the upgrade work and beer for the after upgrade party (reversing that also makes the upgrade fun,
).

Will this upgrade affect your RSS feeds in any way?
Posted by LeaferSutherland from Toronto on 08/24/07 at 08:57 PM ET
It shouldn’t LS. Some folks have had problems receiving RSS and we hope to simplify that, but if you are happy with the feed you are receiving, nothing should change.

It’s getting to be like Christmas… Can’t wait…

The feeds have been working fine for me.
Thanks Paul.
