To make a long story short, lost power last night. This morning computer would not turn on.
Off to the computer store, purchased a new power supply, and that was the problem. I should be back in the swing of things in about twenty minutes.
Sorry for the delay and yes, I bought a battery backup unit too, no more power hits for me.

Probably a giant hamster wheel out back where he bribes the neighborhood kids to run in order to keep his computer running.

Nah. It’s a long line of Dallas Stars Ice Babes on treadmills and stationary bikes.

The battery backup is a great thing, but don’t think it’s the end-all solution—the batteries in those things to bad, too. I’ve had several clients learn that the hard way after… you guessed it… a power outage.
Fortunately, Batteries Plus sells replacement batteries for many models of battery backup units, and they’re not all that expensive either.

But do you have a diesel generator in case the power is out for a *really* long time?
