from Greg Logan of On the Islanders Beat,
Five days after the Islanders returned home from their Western Conference road trip and there’s still no update on the condition of goaltender Rick DiPietro’s surgically repaired knee. There’s a good reason for that.
Indications are that DiPietro is traveling to visit specialists who might be able to determine why the knee still is swelling and hasn’t responded well to the latest surgery performed on Halloween.

I really fell bad that the Islanders have to put up with 15 years of this weiner complaining about his knees. Is there any way they can get out of his contract?
