He’s got a lot of space to radically transform that roster. These next few months will be very interesting in the house of Tropicana.

^ He won’t have to go Bowman on the team but he certainly doesn’t have all that much space since he only had 11 roster spots filled before the Kubina signing, by far the fewest of any team in the league.

I agree, however the “core” up front and in the rear has certainly been established with Lecav, St. Louis, Stammers, Malone, Hedman, Ohlund, and Kubina. He’s got to fill 8 more forward slots (including 2 on his second line) and one more second or third line defender to fill.
They spent 51m on salaries last year, he’s got 40.1m signed currently. So you figure he’s got at least 11m to play with to take care of 9 guys. Should be interesting.
