Bill Watters on Leafs Lunch mentioned that Colin Campbell turned down the Flyers GM job. What is interesting is Watters stated Campbell wants the Leafs GM job.
The pressure is always on John Ferguson Jr.
added 3:29pm, from Tim Wharnsby of the Globe and Mail,
I believe Colin Campbell turned down the Philadelphia Flyers job because he would rather work for the St. Louis Blues and his friend John Davidson when Larry Pleau’s contract as general manager expires at the end of the season.
In fact, at the Memorial Cup a good source from the Ontario Hockey League whispered in my ear that Kitchener Rangers coach Peter DeBoer was on his way to joining the Blues as an assistant coach because Campbell had offered him an assistant coach position.
