From Kevin McGran at the Toronto Star:
Leafs centre Matthew Lombardi has been declared free of concussion symptoms, but might still miss the start of training camp, says GM Brian Burke.
“He is cleared for full activity on the bike,” Burke said in a phone interview. “The last report I got he was doing 20-plus minutes without symptoms. He has been declared symptom-free and now it’s about getting the workload back up.”

Personally, I’m happy for Lombardi and hope that his return to the ice is sooner rather than later but lets not forget that there is a process to be followed and eventually before being cleared for action, he will have to participate in full contact drills. This combined with the conditioning and the travel schedule and all that is involved, means to me anyways, that a November 01 or even December 01 return is more likely

Good to hear. This guy is due a breakout year. And I’m glad it won’t be in a Preds uni…even if it IS a Leafs uni!
