from Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star,
The Toronto Maple Leafs are moving closer to signing Swedish defenceman Jonas Frogren, a mainstay of the Tre Konor national team.
“It hasn’t happened yet, but it will happen,” one insider close to the deal told thestar.com today.

Definitely have a lot of d-men under contract now. Have to move one or both of Kubina/McCabe. Maybe even White if it comes down to that.

I was hoping Boyle’s acceptance of a trade would reflect postively on McCabe’s decision making process.......here’s hoping it has.
I’d hate to part with Kubina, but if #24 continues to dig in the heels (i’m sure the PA are watching the situation closely, especially in that market)it’s looking like any potential deal for a marquee player or pick is going to cost us Pavel.

That’s 9 d-men, by my count, including Schenn, 8 if you don’t count him.
Please please please, with the return Tampa’s getting for Boyle, trade McCabe!
