Leafs Still Searching For Senior Executive

Richard Peddie says the Toronto Maple Leafs are still looking for a senior hockey executive, but he declined to say if Scotty Bowman is a candidate.
However, the president of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment said no one has been offered the position of president of the Maple Leafs. Peddie said the team is scouring the National Hockey League for candidates and will be “patient” enough to land the right person, be it a president or senior adviser to general manager John Ferguson.
The search is slow because some candidates, such as Bowman, who is a consultant to the Detroit Red Wings, are under contract.
