from TSN,
The Pittsburgh Penguins placed forward John LeClair on waivers Thursday.
“Hopefully, something will change because it’s not a great situation for me,” LeClair told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. “You have to make the best of it, but, hopefully, something happens.”

He just got Andreychucked. If Pittsburgh brought him back up, I’m sure a couple of teams would take him. This is not really the ending you would hope for.

Leclair is the consummate vetern, and on a personal level, it’s shame to see this happen to him. However, he hasn’t played up to an acceptable standard this season. He constantly looked a step or two too slow. He’s definitely doing what he’s been asked to do, unfortunately, he just not doing it well enough. I hope a team picks him up that can cast him in a role more suited to what he’s capable of at this point in his career.
