There’s no crazy long break. If the Wings win tonight, then the Finals start on Saturday. If the Hawks win tonight, the finals won’t start till next Friday.
My guess is that (even though Babs would never say it) they know they can beat the Hawks without Lids and Dats, so they’re letting them heal up as much as possible to be ready for Saturday, if need be.
If Detroit loses tonight, they’ll both play Friday, because they’ll be guaranteed a decent length break between the end of the series and the start of the finals..

Of course, I should have said that there MAY NOT be a crazy long break. Not that there won’t be…

At least the Wings proved in Game 4 they can win without them. I just hope Hossa plays like he’s possessed and the Blackhawks act like second-graders again.
Marian Hossa:
“This is game number four of the series ...”

This is only a test. If there had been a real emergency you would be instructed to go cat hunting. Which I’m sure someone is doing right now. Bitches.

I was just about to step outside for some sacrificin’.
Baroque, the Wings might as well tell Hossa every game is game four. Babcock does have a degree in Sports Psychology.

Now I’m thinking the crazy long break between the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Finals could work out well (but it’s still crazy).
