Darryl Sutter in the Calgary Herald via the National Post,
“Next week,” predicted Sutter, “they’ll go back to, ‘Geez, they haven’t signed Dion [Phaneuf] and there’s going to be an offer sheet.’ That’s where it was [earlier this month] and then it went to Tanguay and then it went [Daymond] Langkow and [Kristian] Huselius. It’s flavour of the week.
“There’s very few educated guesses [in the media]. I’d say it’s leaning more towards ignorance.”

Shouldn’t we be hearing what the projected salary cap number for next year will be in the next couple of weeks? With the Canadian dollar close to par and attendance remaining strong, one could surmise that it’s going to go up by at least a couple of million from the 50.3 million current cap number.
I hope Sutter is looking to augment the defense, I shudder everytime Sarich is out there (anybody else think he skates like his boots are on backwards (i.e wrong feet).
