From the Canadian Press,
The world’s record for the longest continuous hockey game now belongs to a group of amateur Edmonton athletes.
The 40 players broke the old record at noon Monday - 240 hours, or 10 straight days of non-stop skate-lacing and puck-chasing, through temperatures that ranged from minus-40 to plus-three.
The effort raised more than $300,000 for cancer research.
