Atlanta gave 3 second round picks, their first rounder in 2008, Slava Kozlov and Glen Metropolit

Thanks for the link.

Sniper: Kozlov isn’t going anywhere. BTW Atlanta doesn’t even have a 2nd rounder in 2007.

Good deal for Atlanta, they gave up a lot but they havent been playing great as of late, 2-6-2 in their last 10, they have lost 2 in a row.
Metropolit isnt a lot to give up, and if Tkachuk plays hard and helps them, maybe they can finally make the playoffs for once ( 72 points, 2 ahead of 9th place ).
If they dont make the playoffs, they got robbed by Sy Louis IMO.

Looks like Atlanta is desperate to avoid being Columbus’ only friend in the “Never been to the playoffs” club, huh?  Talk about a high price.

ridiculous cost for Keith.  I like him and believe he is a type of player that is needed on most teams (especially my wings right now), but I would rather get nothing than pay that much for a rental.

Woo Hoo! It is a lot to pay. tkching! It just drove the price of Guerin up too. Keith has been playing great and honestly I hope he helps Atlanta. Look out for the Blues in the coming years!

what were the thrashers thinking? a first round pick and a thir rounder eban in whats predicted to be a weak draft is unbeliveable price to pay for tkachuk.  all this for a guy who showed up for camp lethargic and fat not that long ago and has a history of being a pain in the ass and not exactly a team player. they would have been better served by going after someone like shannahan wouldnt have cost them the picks just the cash(200 thousand more)and they would have gotten a better player on and off the ice. kudos to john davidson for this larceny

If this is the price for deadline players, I hope holland stands pat, thats ridiculous.  Tkachuck did do what was best for St. Louis though.  What a terrible transaction.  A Rob Blake would have made a difference for Atlanta.  Keith isn’t going to bring Atlanta the cup.  Metropolit is a nice pick up for the Blues.
