From TSN,
The Los Angeles Kings have acquired defenceman Denis Gauthier and a second-round draft pick from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for two prospects.
Gauthier, 31, spent all of last season in the American Hockey League, playing with the Philadelphia Phantoms, putting up 18 points and a plus-16 rating in 78 games.
Update 2:23 pm ET: More on Gauthier from Rich Hammond.

It’s funny watching Kings fans over at Hammond’s blog complain about this pickup because he’s not Brooks Orpik or Brad Stuart. *sigh* Gauthier is a solid guy who couldn’t make the Flyer lineup due to the team’s cap situation, not because he stinks. He’s another big, punishing addition to what is quickly becoming a tough defense to play against.

Gauthier solid defenseman? yea right he was sent down to phantoms because he was a turnover machine and only thing he did was hit.
