MacLean On Zherdev

Doug MacLean on his radio show today stated he is hoping Zherdev will be in the Columbus lineup by October 6th. When asked by a caller what is the percentage- 60%, 70%, 100% that he would sign with Columbus, MacLean asked the caller what did he want to hear- The caller said 100% and MacLean said. “I think you may be right, at least I hope you are.”

No, he sounded like it was a done deal, but did not want to come out and say it.

Thanks, and at about the 35 minute mark, they went to the Owens press conference and came back with about 5 minutes left in the show.

I really need to remember to listen to Dougy’s show. Dead middle of the week is something I have a hard time remembering to keep track of. Well, at least there’s still 15 minutes left today to tune in.
But ... really? Jeez, 100%? Or in that ballpark? It’s hard to really decide what to conclude from this, considering it’s MacLean.
I guess Zherdev is very well turning out to be this season’s Ilya Kovalchuk.
