The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed unrestricted free agent defenceman Marek Malik to a one-year contract, worth a pro-rated $1.2-million for the 2008-2009 season.

Well, we’ll see how much help he provides…this guy was run out of town on a rail by fans in NYC. He earned his 15 minutes of fame with the youtube favorite shootout goal against Washington where he beat Kolzig with that shot with his stick between his legs…but failed to do much after that.
