via Sportsnet,
The Calgary Flames will be without the services of veteran defenceman Bryan Marchmant after an MRI revealed severed damage to Marchment’s left knee.
Sportsnet has learned Marchment’s MRI revealed a torn ACL and MCL, leaving Marchment to contemplate season-ending surgery. If the Flames and Marchment decide to avoid the knife and try to go the rehab route, there exists a slight chance Marchment may try to play again this season—without the ACL ligament. The decision should be made within the next 48 hrs.
