Mike Bossy Tells Islanders Fans How He Feels

from Jim Baumbach at Newsday,
But by Tuesday afternoon, Bossy had had enough of the negative cloud hovering over the team. He read too many e-mails all but calling for the franchise to close its doors … saw too many negative stories online and in newspapers … heard too much criticism of Snow.
So Bossy did what any sane Hall of Famer would do. The Islander legend turned on his computer and typed all of the thoughts swirling through his head into the form of an open letter to fans. It’s a frank reminder that the Islanders’ 2007-08 season was not decided the moment Ryan Smyth left. And it’s clear from reading it that Bossy put emotion into it.
“That,” Bossy said today, “came from the heart.”
