On exit day last week, Green did not speak with the media, but today, a different story.

I think Green could have played better in the couple of games before the Caps got eliminated. He had a couple of penalties called on him and I think he could have played more of a disciplined role.

Perhaps I’m old-school, but I prefer interviews like this over the “emotional” interviews right after a game.

Great teams usually take a while to discover what it takes to win in the playoffs. The Islanders had some big disappointments in the late 1970’s, the Oilers of the early ‘80’s etc. I wouldn’t be so quick to write these guys off.
