Another win by the Blackhawks Friday night was followed by yet another coach heaping praise on them.
“You need a perfect game to beat Chicago,” Bruins coach Claude Julien after the Hawks’ 5-4 win in a shootout at the United Center. “We made some mistakes and they capitalized on them. At least we salvaged a point, because we knew coming in here that Chicago’s a tough team to play at home.”
The Hawks improved to 22-8-3 and moved into a tie for first place in the Western Conference with San Jose and Los Angeles with 47 points.
“Chicago’s a great team with a lot of talent, and right now they’re probably playing the best in the NHL,” Bruins goalie Tim Thomas said.
