COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed left wing Ethan Moreau off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Moreau, who served as the Oilers captain the past three years, has registered 145 goals and 132 assists for 277 points with 1,066 penalty minutes in 863 career NHL games with Edmonton and Chicago.
“We are very pleased and excited to add a player of Ethan’s caliber and person of his character to the Blue Jackets organization,” said Howson. “He will bring valuable leadership, competitiveness and experience to our lineup.”
