This article doesn’t make sense/is poorly researched. It says Joseph and Hasek made $8 and $10 m, respec in 2006. Don’t know how that’s possible when the CBA single player MAX was 7.8.
Nobody made $8 mil, let alone $10 mil. Just ask Lidstrom, Pronger, Jagr, Sakic (etc.) all of whom took a mandatory haircut after the lockout.

Legace got the brunt of the blame and was released that summer.
And honestly, who could blame them? He played well, but after the loss he told the media he felt like hanging himself. Who would hang their hat on a goalie whose confidence is that fragile?
Of all the people on a hockey team to get down on himself, the last one you can accept that from is a goalie.
I liked the guy when he was with the Wings (and wished him luck when he went elsewhere) but I remember hearing that and rolling my eyes, knowing his days in Detroit were over.

hahaha Manny you funny guy. The wings tried you out as they’re starter and you choked. St. Louis tried you as they’re starter and you choked. Manny you played good when you were in detroit but you choked. Thats why your a career backup.
