I’ll keep posting this everyday…I think B Campbell’s skating and style would fit in well with the Wings, he’d get compensated pretty well, probably not quite as high as other teams, but he’d be on a contending team in a city that loves hockey like Buffalo/So Ontario, not too far from family in Ontario.
Babcock and Wings fans got used to enjoying Stuart put people on their backs while playing a good solid game, so it would be disappointing to give up the physical edge of Stuart, but that is becoming more likely. Campbell would be a good fit unless there are some personal reasons.
If no one else shows up throw some of the younger Dmen into the mix, and maybe even resign Lilja (what?).
