The NHL supplied extra security in the press box when the Ducks and Oilers met for the first time last season, at Honda Center. The league might need armed guards the next time Burke and Lowe are in close proximity.

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
Maybe the key to hockey popularity is to have fighting off the ice. Lowe may be wiry, but I think Burke would beat him.

I think Burke would beat him.
Especially if he gets Pronger to teach him a little physics.

I think Burke would beat him.
I beg to differ. Burke looks kind of, ah, puffy, and really, anyone who can earn a 12-minute PK for his team is perfectly capable of doing some damage in a flip-out. My money’s on “Vish.”

He’d beat him by sitting on him. He’s got some mass to work with.

Lowe said that Ducks general manager Brian Burke is “in a pathetic hockey market where they can’t get on any page of the newspaper, let alone the front page of the sports,”
That’s partly Canadian hockey arrogance and partly frustration at not winning a Cup since last century.
To be fair however, it was only a few years ago that the Ducks only sold out 3 times all season, and 2 of them were due to Wings fans showing up in massive numbers in the OC to support their team, and didn’t qualify for the playoffs after making it to G7 of the SCF. Wait, Edmonton is familiar with that scenario.
