“Africa is like the NHL of hunting,” Babcock said Wednesday in preparation for the opening of camp in two weeks. “When you’re in the tall grass, when it’s 14-feet high and you can’t even see the top of an elephant’s back, when you’re hunting a lion and it’s five feet away and you don’t even know he’s there, that’s scary. It gets your heart going.”
-Mike Babcock talking about his hunting trip to Africa to Dave Dye of the Detroit News.

Yeah gotta agree about the hunting thing.. kinda weak. Elephants are too cool.
But I think you missed the big story here, Paul:
Line changes
The Pavel Datsyuk -Henrik Zetterberg line is no more.
Babcock said he will instead have Datsyuk and Zetterberg center the top two lines.
“It would be crazy to play them together,” Babcock said.
The addition of free agent Marian Hossa and the emergence of Johan Franzen , both standout wingers, allow Babcock to make the move.
Datsyuk led the Wings in scoring last season with 97 points during the regular season, and Zetterberg was second with 92.
“It’s not like we didn’t have balance last year,” Babcock said. “The balance just goes deeper.”
Datsyuk is likely to open camp on a line with Hossa and Tomas Holmstrom while Zetterberg is matched between Franzen and Jiri Hudler .
Valtteri Filppula and Kris Draper are projected as the third- and fourth-line centers.
