Senators coach Bryan Murray yesterday accused Pittsburgh Penguins superstar centre and NHL poster boy Sidney Crosby of swearing at him during the first period of Ottawa’s 4-3 shootout loss on Sunday.
Murray said that’s conduct unbecoming of an NHL superstar.
“He’s one of those young people, and rightly so, that the league is really promoting as the example of the new NHL,” said Murray. “When he turns, and I’m sure he’s on camera quite often, using the language he does, I don’t think that’s something he should do. That’s all.”

What a shocker--a young man has a potty mouth when he’s playing sports. 
Just wondering if Murray has heard some of the language in a high school hallway lately? Cussing in a game is not a problem--if he starts cussing at reporters during a recorded interview, especially in a studio, that might be worthy of concern with respect to his image. Otherwise, he sounds like a stuffy old man. I hardly think that bad language ranks very high on the list of issues the NHL should be addressing, so stop wasting time talking about it.

Golly Sid, clean yer act up, instead of swearing at Bryan, next time just remind him that his brother got all the coaching talent.

Sid already has the personality of a surf board. At least he shows some emotion in the game.
Besides, I wonder what Lindy Ruff was saying to him during the Sens - Slugs line brawl. “Hey, why didn’t you come to our bake sale?”

oh no - sidney swore, ban him from the NHL!!!.... what a baby. I’ve seen some shots of Gretzky mouthing words behind that Phoneix bench that don’t look good for the NHL. These guys are competitors thats why their winners.
