This game is among the highlights of NHL Network’s free preview week in the U.S., running March 20-27. The Chicago Blackhawks are four points away from posting their first consecutive 100-point seasons since 1970-1972. They are currently tied for the most points in the Western Conference, and currently lead the Central Division by 11 points, while closing in on the franchise’s first division title since winning the 1993 Norris Division.
The Phoenix Coyotes defeated the Florida Panthers 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday night to win their 44th game of the season, marking the highest single-season win total in franchise history. The previous franchise record for wins in a season was 43, set when the franchise played as the Winnipeg Jets in 1984-85. Through 71 games this season, the Coyotes have compiled a record of 44-22-5 and are currently on a seven-game winning streak.
