Every NHL game last night had more goals scored than the combined total points of the NFL game between Pittsburgh and Miami, which the Steelers won 3-0.
Maybe the NFL should widen the goal posts, make the field shorter or go 7 on 7 to generate more offense!

What a stupid comment!!
If the NFL had a droves of 3-0 games you can bet your bottom dollar they would change the rules to allow more scoring—just as they changed the rules to make field goals more difficult years ago (moving the goal posts back) to encourage more touchdowns. Unlike the custodians of hockey (and their stuck-in-the-past-fans), the custodians of the NFL realize they’re running an entertainment product not a museum piece.

Whenever someone tells me that they should make the nets bigger, I suggest that instead they should just use a marble instead of a puck. They laugh at me and can’t believe how ridiculous the idea is. The problem is that it is no less ridiculous than making the nets bigger. When will the NHL stop prostituting itself to the NBA crowd? They are only losing fans doing it.
