The NHL plans to broadcast its first live, video broadband programs on NHL.com in promotion of the Amp Energy NHL Winter Classic scheduled for Jan. 1 in Buffalo.
The first broadcast will be a Winter Classic preview show aired live from XM’s NHL studio at 3 p.m. ET on Dec. 28. The show will focus on past NHL and collegiate outdoor games and why the league is playing outdoors this year.
The second show will air two hours before face-off live from Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo
The live programs represent the first step of an ambitious effort to offer more Web-specific programming on NHL.com. Depending on their success, other live shows could follow from events such as the All-Star Game and Stanley Cup playoffs.

Yeah, i just loved having the penguins dallas game blacked out for me b/c it was on some channel i didnt get eventhough i bought centerice. it was awesome!
