from Lightning Strikes,
The Lightning announced it traded for Flyers minor league defenseman Janne Niskala, and sent the Flyers a sixth-round 2009 draft pick.
Niskala, 26, was acquired by Philadelphia on June 25 from Nashville for forward Triston Grant and a seventh-round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

I think it’s just a smokescreen. They’ll probably flip Niskala to Montreal for the right to borrow the rights to Mats Sundin for 15 minutes before the deadline.

Upcoming press release from Tampa:
“The Lightning are (is?) thrilled to add such an outstanding player as Janne Niskala to our team. The coaching staff has been impressed with his speed and offensive instincts, and we look forward to converting him to a right winger.”
Hah!

Well, so much for Baroque’s theory about having a team of just forwards. This proves the Bolts are serious about defense as well
this was a trade that flyers shouldn’t made. Janne Niskala threaten to play in russia if he didnt get a one way contract. holmgren should of done his homework before making this trade
