from Terry Frei of All Things Avs,
Avalanche coach Joe Sacco this afternoon said Craig Anderson had seen doctors back in Denver and the verdict was that the Colorado goaltender will be out “indefinitely” with a knee injury, but that he won’t require surgery.
“It’s going to require some treatment and rehab, and we hope to have him back as soon as possible,” Sacco said after Colorado’s practice in the Saddledome.
Sacco wouldn’t give any more details, repeating his previous answer virtually word for word when asked about the specific diagnosis. But he left the impression the injury isn’t serious.
The Avalanche has recalled veteran goalie John Grahame, 35, from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League, and he will join the team in Calgary in time for Thursday night’s game against the Flames.
